ArcXporter

Sometimes brain cells go awry because of the poor formed messages passed between them.
ArcXporter aims to keep memory intact by intercepting bad messages in neurons before they wreak havoc.

Healthy neurons employ a variety of mechanisms to rid themselves of aggregated and misfolded proteins. However, in neurodegenerative diseases, some of these troublesome proteins are resistant to such clearing mechanisms, resulting in an accumulation of misfolded and aggregated proteins in neurons. The goal of ArcXporter is to clear RNA associated with aggregation proteins and degrade it before neuronal cells become overwhelmed.
